Bad Boys: Ride or Die Passes Major Domestic Box Office Mark
Bad Boys: Ride or Die continues to live a charmed life during its theatrical run. Less than three weeks after its debut, the latest sequel in the Bad Boys saga passes a major domestic box-office milestone.
Per Collider, Ride or Die, which stars long-time collaborators Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, has now grossed $151 million across North American cinemas since its Jun. 7 premiere, earning $2.5 million on Jun. 25. Thanks to passing the $150 million mark domestically, the fourth film of the Bad Boys series has now grossed over $293 million worldwide. It is also expected to cross the $300 million milestone this weekend.
Ride or Die's return against a $100 million budget is encouraging, though the latest sequel will need a major surge to reach Bad Boys for Life's heights, with the 2020 sequel earning a franchise-best $426.5 million worldwide. Thanks to Ride or Die's early success, the Bad Boys film series recently passed the $1 billion mark since its inception in 1995.
