If the QBCFMonitorService is not running, it can cause issues with QuickBooks, especially in multi-user mode. Here are steps to resolve this problem:

1. Restart QBCFMonitorService:

   • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
   • Type services.msc and press Enter.
   • In the Services window, scroll down to find QBCFMonitorService.
   • Right-click on QBCFMonitorService and select Restart.
   • If the service is not running, right-click and select Start.

2. Ensure QuickBooks Database Server Manager is Installed:

   • The QuickBooks Database Server Manager is required for multi-user mode.
   • If it is not installed, you can install it from the QuickBooks installation files.

3. Configure Firewall and Security Settings:

   • Ensure that your firewall or security software is not blocking the QBCFMonitorService.
   • Add QuickBooks and QBCFMonitorService as exceptions in your firewall and security software.

4. Run QuickBooks File Doctor:

   • Download and run the QuickBooks File Doctor tool to diagnose and fix issues related to QuickBooks services.

5. Check QuickBooks Database Server Manager:

   • Open QuickBooks Database Server Manager and ensure that it is scanning the correct folders where your company files are stored.
   • Click on Start Scan to scan the folders.

6. Repair QuickBooks Installation:

   • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
   • Find QuickBooks in the list, right-click on it, and select Repair.

7. Update QuickBooks:

   • Make sure that QuickBooks is updated to the latest version. Go to Help > Update QuickBooks and follow the prompts.

8. Restart Your Computer:

   • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve issues with services not running.
